Dear Ben Thorn,
Thank you for your assistance in finding our Salt Lake City income property. I particularly appreciated how professionally you filtered out all of many owner
occupied listings that cannot really be classified as good investments.
You have been fun and informative to work with and we will give you a call when we are ready to look again. Please also feel free to continue sending us any
Email alerts on any particularly good ones that you come across in the meantime.
Respectfully Yours,
Steve & Barbara Glines
To Whom It May Concern:
We would like to recommend Ben Thorn and hope your first real estate deal was as great as ours. We were very green in the real estate world. We were so new to
the process we actually bought the Real Estate for Dummies book. Jeff and I were 2 years married, had saved a sufficient down payment and decided to go for a house.
At that time we decided to get a realtor since they knew a lot more than we did. We were recommended Ben Thorn at Prudential. Ben had many attributes that are
very soothing to rookies. Ben was very professional. He didn't judge us as fresh out of college (dummies) kids. Other people would have judged that we could not
afford or handle the area/type of house we wanted.
Ben was very aggressive in the finding and offer process. He didn't let us be had and he really went for the best deal. Ben was also very honest. Ben explained the
contracts that we would have to sign on the first meeting. Anytime we had questions as to the logistics of buying a house his answers were always the best. He told
us what he thought when we asked. He didn't push his opinion on us but when we wanted it, he told us what he thought of every house, every offer we went through.
He didn't push the "bigger and better" houses that were available.
Most of all Ben was very "human". There is a stereotype that realtors carry. Ben did not carry that stereotype. Although he easily could of, he understood that this
was a big investment for us, his conversation that he made while looking, contracts, offers etc was very understanding. He tried to understand our jobs, the stresses
we had upon us so that "house buying" wasn't taking away from the jobs we had to do.
Jeff and I have a lot of friends that will be doing their "first deal" very soon. In their eyes we are the experts about buying a house. When they ask us, Ben's name
will come up. He made our experience so smooth.
In short Ben has our business for now and the future.
Sincerely,
Jeff and Elnora McBeth
I have known Mr. Benjamin Thorn personally and professionally for the past four years. Mr. Thorn has helped my family and I purchase and sell a number of properties.
He is very patient honest, professional, prompt, and friendly. It took us approximately three years to find our current home. He was very patient with us and helped
us to make an educated and confident purchase by providing comparisons, related documents, and even helping us to find the best possible loan. During these three
years, my wife and I looked at many houses that were not fully acceptable to us for different reasons. Mr. Thorn never pushed us to make an offer or when we made
offers, he made sure that we were entirely comfortable with those offers.
When we had to sell one of our houses, he sold it in less than two weeks; in my book, that is "quick". He is a friendly young talented man with energy and experience.
We enjoyed the times that we worked with him and in the future would use his services again. We have highly recommended him to several of our friends and they are
pleased with his services. I have worked with many real estate agents in the past and Mr. Thorn is truly the most pleasant one to work with.

To Whom It May Concern,
I recently sold a house through Prudential Utah Real Estate. I really thought that the Ben Thorn team did a great job with the sell of my house. Ben was my initial
agent and gave me a great overview of what to expect and how they go about marketing and the things they do to sell the house. After the initial meeting, Bart Horton
became my main contact from Prudential. I felt that Bart did an exceptional job selling the house. He held many open houses, handing out and making flyers advertising
the house. He continued to have open houses even after some that were quite disappointing. I was very impressed with Barts work overall and his enthusiasm in his
work. My house sold in a very timely manner and I was very happy with the selling price and closing. This was my first house sell and I had no idea what is and was
involved in selling a house. All in all I was very happy with the handling and selling of my house. Ben was very personable friendly and professional. I would highly
recommend the Ben Thorn team for any real estate needs. Thank you very much and good luck in the future.
Sincerely,
Cameron Mitchell
Dear Ben Thorn:
Tricia and I would like to thank you for making our home finding trip a great success.
You recently helped us relocate from Fresno, CA to Salt Lake City, UT. We were not familiar with the Salt Lake area and you made it easy and navigable.
My past experience with other Realtors made it difficult to want to partner up again in purchasing our new home in Herriman. We enjoyed your down to earth attitude
and sincerity that you offered both Tricia and I.
I have had the opportunity to work for the #1 company in my industry for 7 years now and my personal expectations far exceed most anyone I do business with. Ben you
have lived up to our expectations and we are delighted to call you a business partner.
Our new home is beautiful and we look forward to having your wonderful family over for the house warming.
Thank you,
Tricia and Derek
To Whom it May Concern,
It is without reservation that I, Philip Baskett, recommend Ben Thorn to be your realtor. Though I do not furnish recommendation letters lightly, I feel that Ben,
through his knowledge and experience, has played an enormous role in the success of my real estate ventures. His upfront and truthful approach to Utah real estate is
the reason I refer all of my family, friends and clientele to be under the umbrella of his skill and expertise. In surveying Ben's mode of operation, I have personally
come to know that his patron's success is always paramount to him. The diligence and loyalty he showed, and continues to show, to my acquaintances and myself, is the
basis for which I provide this recommendation.

Cindy and I wanted to write you to formally thank you for all your help in finding our house and relocating to Salt Lake City. We appreciate the time you spent with us
and the patience you exhibited during our search. Not having Cindy look at the house before we put in an offer was not the preferred way to buy a house, but with your
help, we were able to feel very comfortable during the process. You were a true professional to deal with and we appreciate you focusing in on our needs. I can tell
you that we are very happy with our house and location, thanks to your tireless effort in narrowing down a very large list of houses. If we can be of any assistance
to you in return for your help, please let us know.
Thanks again.

When we passed on the house we now live in and love, Ben politely persisted in explaining why it was such a good fit: transitioning neighborhood with great appreciation
upside; great duplex opportunity; huge yard perfect for pets. Thanks to Ben's understanding of the real market our house has appreciated 50% in two years, our renters
pay the bulk of our mortgage, and our two "Malamutes" live like royalty. Thanks Real Estate Utah! Ben is very likeable, outgoing, creative, hardworking and persistent
and, in the case of our house, he was just plain right. We recommend Ben Thorn highly and without reservation.

To whom it may concern,
We write this letter, for the praise and recommendation that Ben Thorn deserves. Also, to let Ben know how much we appreciated his help in getting in to our first
home. I found Ben's information on the Internet. He is very aggressive and he knows the industry like the back of his hand. He is always looking for business
bettering advantages; I feel that advertisement on the Internet is a fine example of this.
After we found the house that we liked the very best, he was very knowledgeable in the legal end of everything. This being our first home, his expertise was priceless.
The best part was that he not only helped us with the endless paperwork, he gave excellent advice on getting the very best deal possible. He will do his very best to
get you into the house you want, for the price you want. He did it for us. A particular aspect of Ben's real estate service is his connection with Jeremy Coccimiglio.
Jeremy is a representative of Security National Mortgage Company. Ben and Jeremy have worked hand in hand with each other, and this connection is an invaluable
characteristic of Ben's business. Jeremy was not only very nice and nice to work with, he got us the very best deal in town, believe us, we checked. We would also
like to let Ben know that we have total confidence in him as our real estate professional. When the time comes for us to get into our next house, we will definitely go
back to him, and we will recommend everybody we know to do the same.
Thanks Ben,
Jon and Tanya Montgomery
I moved to Utah and did my initial house hunting over the Internet. Ben Thorn called me immediately after I had visited his website. Ben began sending me listings
using e-mail, so that we had a long list of potential properties to look at when I finally arrived in Utah in late January.
As a first time homebuyer, I was not 100% sure of what I wanted. Ben was very patient with me while I went through the learning process. My work schedule involves
rotating shifts, but Ben worked with me to arrange meetings around my schedule. Ben was always accessible when I tried to reach him and we exchanged a lot of information
over e-mail. Eventually, with Ben's hard work, I found a great home. Everything went smoothly through the closing.
I would recommend Ben's services as a realtor to anyone buying, or selling a home in Utah. Ben is a hard working professional who makes great use of modern technology,
such as the Internet, e-mail, digital photographs, etc.

To Whom It May Concern:
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ben Thorn for helping us find a home. We are so happy! Ben was great to work with. They had a way of making us feel
comfortable and knowledgeable about the different options we had as first-time homebuyers. We never felt pressured to buy a home we couldn't afford. We were always
told the truth and felt at ease when asking questions or voicing our concerns. These qualities are so important in a realtor when you are dealing with the stress of
buying a home.
We gladly recommend Ben Thorn to friends and family. He was wonderful to work with and we appreciate his efforts in helping us find our first home.

We contacted Benjamin Thorn with Prudential Utah Real Estate after two disappointing home buying attempts that resulted in lost time and money. We were naturally
hesitant about a third attempt and we moved forward with nothing short of extreme caution. Justin and Ben surprised us by immediately demonstrating their focus for
our best interest. We were impressed with Ben's knowledge of the real estate market, their honesty (even going so far as to point out negatives of a home that we might
not have realized), their availability and supply of valuable information, and even forfeiting a closing bonus in our behalf! Prudential Prestige Real Estate made home
buying simple by providing potential home specifications and photographs through e-mail. In short, using Prudential Utah Real Estate allowed us to be more confident,
more capable and more effective in our home purchase. For us, actions spoke louder than words, a refreshing change from our other experiences.

Dear Home Seller and Buyer,
I appreciate the opportunity to write this letter of recommendation for Ben Thorn.
I had an interesting experience in the way I met Ben. My husband and I were selling our condominium on our own, "For Sale by Owner". We were successful; we were offered our asking price by a young couple that was living with family. We were excited, we didn't ask any questions regarding purchase
ability, financing, savings, nothing at all. Needless to say, the next day my husband and I went house shopping and found a wonderful home! We didn't have an agent working with us, so we went ahead and asked the listing agent to do our paper work and represent us. That's when the nightmare started. This particular agent had no interest in us, had no intention of assisting us to get the best price possible, and several times we found her be dishonest and unethical. My husband and I were so sick about the situation we were in we needed help! Someone that would give us straight answers and help us deal with this agent so that we could be positive everything was being handled properly. We needed someone we could trust.
Our loan officer, who knew Ben, asked him if he would call us and answer a few questions. He did, we asked him 101 questions! He offered to go over our paper work, answer questions our current agent was not answering, and really do whatever it took to relieve us from some of our concerns. As we worked more with the agent selling us our home, the more we felt taken advantage of and ignored. My husband and I both knew the situation was not right; somehow we needed a way out.
Adding to our nightmare, the young couple buying our home proved to be penny less! They were shopping for a home without any money; being that we were not professionals in selling we failed to verify ability to qualify for a
loan. We just assumed that because they wanted to buy a home, they could do it. Not true. Our nightmare ends with a happy ending. Being that the young couple could not qualify for a loan, it allowed us to get out of our contract we were in to purchase the home we wanted. No we didn't get that particular home, but we also didn't have to work with that agent. I learned a huge lesson! If you want to be honest and ethical, find an agent that IS ethical and honest. My husband and I work hard for the money we earn; if you want an agent work for the money they earn...you have to expect it. EXPECT excellent service, the agent to make you feel important, and make sure they appreciate you and your business. Ben ended up being that person. I felt he was honest in his dealings, had strong ethical behavior, and did what he said he was going to do. I never felt he was trying to impress us with a sales presentation, he just told us
how he was going to sell our home and did it. He returns phone calls and he communicates with us throughout us selling and buying our home. I always knew what was going on, I never felt left in the dark. I really appreciated
the fact that he communicated with us; we never had to hunt him down or leave twenty messages before we heard from him. We never had to remind him we existed! Ben is a person who is very aware of his clients needs, communicates with his clients, listens to his clients, is honest, ethical, and does what he says he's going to do.
I have referred Ben to several of my friends, who were extremely happy with his service as well. I am confident that Ben will offer the exact excellent service he did for us, to you. If I can answer any questions, Please feel free to call me (801) 963-6565.
Sincerely,

My wife Nancy and I enlisted Ben's services to sell our first home four years ago. His ability to determine the market for our home brought us a full-price offer. This was shortly after he advised us to reject an offer that was just a few thousand dollars below what we were asking. Ben is confident in his knowledge of the market and was not afraid to tell us as a client that we should hold out for a better offer.
After the birth of our triplets we needed to move again our 2 story home just was not working with 3 new additions to our family. Ben was able to coordinate the sale of our 2 Story home and the purchase of our current home, which is a rambler. His expertise and experience allowed us to negotiate a price for the home that was a lot lower than what we should have paid for the house.
Ben's knowledge of the Utah real estate market, coupled with his understanding of how homebuyers and home sellers think, has benefited us greatly over the last five years. We are confident that working with him to purchase a home, you will end up paying a more than fair price for the property. If you are considering listing your home for sale with Ben, his Internet marketing tools and overall expertise will definitely help get your home sold faster than the market average. We have not hesitated to recommend his services

Ben,
Thanks so much for your help in the purchase of our new home! It was a real pleasure working with a realtor who wasn't trying to sell us a house. Rather, you helped us discover what we wanted. You quickly learned what we were interested in terms of style, location, and price and then worked hard to develop a format for us to view those homes at our leisure.
We would recommend to without hesitation to our friends and family and look forward to working with you again in the future.
Thanks again for all of your help.

After Melanie and I got engaged we began looking for our first home. At the advice of my older brother, Jeremy, we decided to have Ben Thorne help us find a home.
He made the stress and pressure of home buying virtually non-existent. We had many, many questions about what to buy, where to buy, and really how to buy. He made
everything make complete sense, and set us both at ease.
Since we had never been on our own, and never had to make a decision this important, we were continually changing our minds on what exactly we wanted. We wanted to
make the right decision for us. Ben was always willing to offer his opinion and expertise without being too pushy, because we knew that he wanted us to be happy with
our purchase. He would always give us his honest opinion, even if it wasn't exactly what we wanted to hear. He is definitely not the "pushy car salesman" type. He
is honest, and we both trusted him with our decision.
We would like to personally thank Ben for all his hard work, honesty, and expertise in helping us find exactly what we wanted. We give Ben Thorne the highest
recommendation.

Sean and I had originally placed our house on sale in March. The agent we were working with was nice, but didn't seem to follow through on what we felt needed to be
done to accomplish the sell of our home.
Our contract ended with this first agent in August at which time we had decided to try a new team of agents. The new agents failed to return any of our telephone calls.
With repeat attempts we were finally able to reach one of them by phone in regards to a question we had. We were told that they were very busy and did not have the
time to find the answers for us.
By December of 1999 our new contract ended. Discouraged and disappointed we took our house off of the market completely. Our real estate agent in Portland, Oregon
researched agents in Utah and found Benjamin Thorn and gave us his telephone number.
Upon calling Benjamin we let him know that we had to take a break from having our house on the market. He was understanding and said that he would try to call back at
a later date.
In February we decided we were ready to give Benjamin Thorn's team a try. We talked to them about where we felt our other agents failed and what we'd like to see from
them. We discussed how we would like our communications to go and felt that Benjamin and teammate Bart were being upfront and honest.
Communication was thorough, we understood what was going on and felt we had finally found a team that we could trust. Three weeks later our house sold!
We would recommend Benjamin and his team. They were knowledgeable about the market, they knew how to strategize ways to get people into the house, they would use many
means of communication, and they were honest and easy to work with.
Sincerely,

Ben,
I promised to give you written feedback on our experience selling the condo
with your assistance. I have no excuse for taking so long to do so, not even
a good explanation. Truth is, Kathy and I were so relieved to finish the
transaction that we haven't wanted to think about it since.
Getting to the point, your help in bring that deal to closure was
invaluable. The market was slow, our previous efforts had produced no
encouraging results, we were a discouraged and disappointed that the
appraiser didn't see the value we believed the property sustained, and we
were afraid that we might have to unload the unit in a fire sale.
Happily, that didn't happen. We worked through the one aborted deal to
quickly find another buyer who offered us the full appraised value for the
property and you carried that transaction to closure in a very short period.
It ended up that we had to make only one double house payment.
Anyway, thanks for the assistance. Should the opportunity arise, we would be
happy to suggest that others give you a chance to serve them.
